We’re finally home!!! After over
 2 years in various locations,
from Denver Health Hospital in
Denver, CO to Spaulding Rehab
and Mass General in Boston, MA,
to Crotched Mountain Rehab Center
in Greenfield, NH,, to a brief stint at
the Centro De Rehabilitacion in
Cuernevaca, Mexico, Pat has finally
come home again! What an
incredible journey! Here are some
highlights since the last update.

Pat is now able to bend his right leg to 100 degrees, which, we were told by an orthopedic surgeon that could never happen without surgery, if at all! Pat is now taking small sips of juice, Gatorade and water out of a cup. He has eaten spoonfuls of oatmeal, mashed potatoes, yogurt and pudding by mouth. He also has started laughing at TV shows, especially Everyone Loves Raymond! So, slowly but surely he continues to make progress!

We now have the most incredible
home for Pat! He has everything
that he needs from the beautiful
new bathroom with the deep tub
and European type shower, to the
gorgeous wood floors and the
many beautiful windows that make
you feel like you’re part of the
outdoors – all I can say is WOW!
It took the work of so many
volunteers to make it happen,
but boy, what a success story it is!!

We want to invite anyone who would like to see the new addition and visit with Pat to feel free to stop by. I do work during the day but his aide is with him and they love company. We also are planning an open house sometime in August so everyone can see the fruits of their labor and generosity!

Finally, I can’t write one of these updates
without taking advantage of this moment
to thank everyone that has supported us
through this journey!!!! We COULD NOT
HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love from all of us,
Marianne, John, Pat, Megan and Kevin
